Registration Information


Register for The Rutherford Downhill Derby is a two-step process:


  1. Complete the registration form on Eventbrite

    • You will receive​ an email with a "ticket" which is proof of registration

    • You are able to modify your registration information (team name, drivers, etc) using the link on the email ticket, or by logging into Eventbrite with the email you used when you registered

  2. You need to submit payment to the Rutherford Recreation Department​ either by

    • Pay by credit card by logging into CommunityPass​, click "Browse Activities", confirm your information, choose a participant (choose yourself, the same name that you used to complete the registration on Eventbrite), then select the Downhill Derby as your event and continue to checkout and pay

    • Pay by check made out to "Borough of Rutherford" either in person (Borough Hall, 176 Park Ave) or mail to:

You will be contacted closer to the race date with a reminder to finalize your registration (car/team name, rider names, etc). You will be able to change the registration info until 2 weeks before race day. We will not allow any changes on race day.


  • You will need to submit signed waivers for EACH DRIVER on race day check-in. We will have blank forms available, but to keep registration as fast as possible, please print out the form(s) below and sign prior to check-in

Important Information
  • This registration is for a single car. If you would like to register additional cars you will need to re-submit a separate registration form.

  • You must be 18 or older to register a car (though children in grades 1 and up may race).

  • Each division allows for a maximum of 4 team members, but only 2 people are allowed in the car at a time.
